How to start a blog?
When you are starting a blog to focus on your journey to a healthier, happier, you, how do you start it? By listing everything you hate about your current lifestyle (exhaustion, lethargic, self conscious, to name a few), or do you go all deep as to why you are the way you are, some long hidden childhood trauma that led you to overeating 25 years later? Do you confess to the world that you just really *lo-ho-hove* food, and combine that with poor metabolism you have a recipe for type 2 Diabetes.
I guess the route I'll choose is to go positive, and talk about what I'd like to accomplish on this blog.
1. Learn more about myself, and not be afraid to share it
2. Love myself, flaws included
3. Teach by example in teaching my children the above, especially my daughter.
4. Treat my body with respect. It gave me beautiful children. It got me this far in life. It is my temple. At least, I'm going to try to remember this when there is NOT a tray of Christmas treats nearby. And the cigarettes and vino aren't helping.
5. Exercise. I used to be a bad ass. I could run faster, jump higher, than just about anyone. I want to be a bad ass again.
6. While I could sprint, I was never a distance runner. I want to run a 5k this year.
7. I want to cook more, eat out less. Eat more fruits and veggies, try new recipes. Less processed foods, find out where our food is coming from.
8. Doing active things with the fam would be fun. I think we could all get into geocaching, hiking, things like that.
9. Move more. Turn off the tv. Listen to some bitchen tunes. Dance.
